There are many World Cup 2010 Posters, but the official 2010 FIFA one was unveiled on 23rd November 2007 in Durban. The idea behind it was to invite the world to join in the celebration of the greatest soccer event ever portraying a country in the shape of a man heading a ball. A beautiful poster with a yellow background, a brown head shining thanks to the green and red highlights with deep symbolism. The African dream came through: for the first time the African soil is hosting it with pride and passion.
Furthermore the nine host city posters where unveiled during the 500 day celebrations. Of course there is all kind of official material, that has been introduced in order to have a souvenir of this outstanding and unique moment in soccer's history.
It really is an outstanding and unique moment as there is no soccer player in the world, that believed, that one day he was going to play such a major championship in South Africa. A nation which has been sadly known for the Apartheid and today is hosting people from all over the world having a common ground where race, color, religion and anything else has no value, but only the balls and the soccer players, that score the most goals.
Interesting to note how things can change in time, something, that until yesterday was not possible is coming through. Unfortunately the Bafanas from the host nation did not make it out of the preliminaries, but Ghana, the only African team in the quarters, has carried with pride the celebration of this continent.
Now that the World Cup soccer 2010 edition is getting closer to the end and that the picture is quite clear everybody should get at least one of the many World Cup 2010 posters if not the official one with the country in the shape of a man heading a ball.
