Women soccer is so popular today. Soccer fanatics are getting a heightened awareness that women can definitely play the sport. Although soccer is a contact sport dominated by men, women football players too can generate the same level of excitement and fun which soccer enthusiasts are looking for in a game.

Men are physically stronger due to the fact that their bodies are made up of muscles while the woman's body is primarily made up of adipose tissues or fat. Such a fact makes men acquire better agility and strength in playing the most loved game in the world today. But playing soccer does not require much of gender. The more essential factor in playing the game is the skill in handling and maneuvering the ball. Soccer is about speed and strategy to score a point and not mere strength to wrestle on the field.

Stamina, endurance and strength are some of the key requirements for a soccer player, and women can have these too if they observe proper training and self discipline. Women soccer leagues are increasingly getting more popular. Some of which are Toppserien in Norway, Women's Bundesliga in Germany and Austria, W-League, Superliga Femenina in Spain, and the Women's United Soccer Association in the United States .

Though soccer has a woman's division, it is not as popular as the male soccer league. The emergence of soccer leagues dedicated to women would be enough proof to say that the world of contact sport is not just for the male. Women too can be at their best and thrive in a world where men are considered dominant.
